Shutterly Fabulous have an extensive array of arched windows of all shapes and sizes which we have fully measured and installed.

This set of windows in this barn conversion have  had shutters installed into the recess which keeps the shape and design of the arch perfectly. They are finished in ivory paint and made in our kiln dried poplar wood.

Wooden Plantation Shutters in the UK have grown in popularity over the past few years and as such many new shutters companies have entered the market.

Shutters companies offering craftwood (MDF or LDF shutters), phoenix wood, locke wood, MDF, basswood - to name but a few, are all the same shutters, MDF is a cheap material as it's essentially a waste byproduct, therefore MDF shutters are slightly cheaper than wooden shutters. However, the cost difference between MDF shutters and wood shutters is very, very small. MDF is not suited to shutter construction but in our opinion and research, materials such as basswood is too fragile for shutter manufacture. Poplar shutters and elm shutters have proved an extremely high quality wood material for the manufacture of wooden shutters over our many years of business and shutter manufacture.

All Shutterly Fabulous shutters are made from premium grade kiln dried FSC sustainably sourced hard woods. This Barn conversion has been able to keep its arched window which looks simply stunning with shutters and is fully functional too!
