Arch Window Shutters

Arch Window Shutters offer a stylish, bespoke and surprisingly cost effective solution to arch windows which prove notoriously difficult to dress.

You can see from this photo that this stunning factory conversion in London has a challenging window to dress. The window was arched at the top and putting a regular window covering such as curtains, roller blinds or wood blinds would result in loosing the unique shape of the arched window. Such regular window treatments would need to be mounted on the outside of this arch window, on the wall. Therefore the whole unique shape of the arch would be lost.

This London warehouse conversion was ideal for arch shutters. As you can see, the shutters fit inside the window recess, therefore the shutters accentuate the shape of the window, giving clear definition to the shape of the arch window. The shutters installed have a separate sunburst shutter panel at the top, above the rectangular panels on the lower half. Sunburst shutters are, as the name suggests, made with the slats radiating like the rays from the sun. The shutter slats are individually tilted when you want to open and close the slats. Shutterly Fabulous installed these shutters in London in this way, to ensure the panels on the lower section could be opened without obstruction as there was a dropped ceiling inside the room.

Arch window shutters can also be made with full height shutter panels where the panel is arched at the top. With this design, when you fold the panels back, they will all fold off from the window. This differs from a sunburst design which generally sees the sunburst shutter being in position most of the window, and only folded open for cleaning the window.
