Arched Plantation Shutters for Inside Windows in Portsmouth

Arched bi-fold shutters

At Shutterly Fabulous in the South of England we supply many irregular shaped shutters for homes on the south coast of England.

Not all windows are what we would call standard shapes. Wide rectangular windows associated with newer build properties are not the only type of window wooden plantation shutters can be fit to.

Arched windows are often something we come across when consulting and fitting homes on the south coast. Larger houses in rural areas make for more adventurous architecture and we often fit shutters to elaborate arches.

Arched shutters can work in a number of ways. Some customers like to opt for a tier on tier shutter effect, with the arch being almost a separate entity to the square or rectangle part of the window.

The photo shows an arched shutter set on a window in a property in Portsmouth, in the South of England, which has two panels full height with slats fitted to the top of the arch. The panels in this arched shutter are hinged together in the centre creating a bi-fold, where the panels will fold on to one another when they are opened back.

The Arched Shutters in this photo show panels with a push-rod down the centre to open and close the slats. They are finished in Biscuit, which is a close match to the custom painted shutters of the same colour. Irregular shaped shutters, as all our shutters look fantastic in our range of standard colours.
