Interior Shutters look stunning a walnut wood stain

Interior Shutters are suited to almost all windows and create a real feeling of luxury in a bathroom. With many bathroom windows featuring unattractive patterned glass (which many people choose for privacy reasons) interior shutters offer the perfect means of ‘loosing’ an unappealing window.

The shutters in this photo of a bathroom in a London home are installed on a window where the customer did not want to have patterned glass. However with the bath directly in front of the window, the bathroom was on view to everyone passing this home on a busy London road. Shutterly Fabulous visited the customer to offer design advice on how best to overcome the challenges presented by the lack of privacy.

Interior shutters have become increasingly popular as a window covering choice for windows not only in London but throughout the UK. Bathrooms today are often designed with minimal fuss and many shutters customers think that interior shutters in a bathroom have to be white. This is not always the case and this London bathroom shows how shutters in a rich black walnut stain add a feeling of warmth and luxury to the bathroom.

The interior shutters featured here are made from Elm hard wood and finished in a black walnut stain. The shutters have a regular front facing push rod and have 64mm slats. The interior shutters can be opened back, but in this instance the shutters will not be opened very often as the glass on the London bathroom window is not frosted therefore the shutters panels will stay in situ and the slats of the interior shutters simply tilted to give privacy to the bathroom but allow light into the room.
