Bathroom Shutters
Bathroom Shutters both Stylish and Practical
Bathrooms are one room in most homes which can present a challenge when looking for a suitable window covering. Shutters can offer the ideal solution, giving a stylish yet exceptionally practical solution to what is often a difficult window to dress.
The shutters shown in this Weybridge, Surrey home, look fantastic and show how effective bathroom shutters can be. They are mounted inside the window reveal, tight to the window itself. This is quite typical of many bathrooms as it reflects how the bathroom shutters will be used for the majority of the time.
Shutterly Fabulous takes time with customers to make sure they’re designing their shutters to best match each individual need. As such, when discussing bathroom shutters, our consultant tries to help the customer envisage how they will use the shutters the majority of the time, once they have been installed. In a bathroom, most customers do not spend a huge amount of time in the room. Also, most UK bathrooms are fairly limited in space and do not have lots of wall space adjacent to the windows, where the shutters could fold onto. Therefore, given both issues, customers with shutters installed in a bathroom find that it’s quite rare for them to physically fold back the panels. Instead, much more regularly, they will tilt and adjust the slats.
As this photo shows the bathroom has shutters with 2 shutter panels. While the panels will stick out into the room when opened (again, bear in mind it’s rare that the panels will be opened) the wider panels mean there is less vertical wood running through the glazed area and instead the wide shutter slats allow maximum light to come into the bathroom.
