The bedroom shutters shown on this bay window are full height panels, with a divide rail (also known as mid rail). This allows you to tilt the slats at one angle on the lower half of the window and tilt the slats on the upper portion of the shutters completely open. Essentially this design works well as it allows you to gain privacy on the lower half of the window, while seeing straight out the top part. This is particularly well suited to bedrooms, where you may be getting out of bed, getting ready, and keeping the shutters slats on the lower half closed gives privacy while you can tilt open the top slats to allow light into the room.

The interior shutters shown are finished in a white painted finish to match the window and skirting boards in the room. The bedroom is decorated in neutral tones and most customers choose to have their shutters painted to match the colour of the paintwork in their room. If you match the paint colour of the shutters to the walls of the bedroom, it can look a little non descript. Tying the shutters colour the woodwork colour is often preferred to help ensure the interior shutters look like and integrated part of the window.
