White shutters on double fronted box bay window

East London is amassed with Victorian Properties. This property in Herne Hill is no exception, with a typical box bay window. The owners of the Herne Hill Terrace property decided to have their box bay fitted with white shutters on the double fronted section of the box bay.
The sides of the box bay have very slim glazing parts, together the customer and consultant decided that having no shutter panels on these small glazed parts of the bay would be best. The side windows are small enough that they will not get too much light shining in. By installing shutters in this small area would mean that there would be very small slats within the shutter frame section.
To keep the shutters looking minimalistic with clean lines, the customer decided they wanted to have two shutter panels within each window section.
To keep the lines even cleaner, rather than opting to have a push rod attached to the front of the slats, there is a hidden push rod option which is called “open sky” our open sky option means that all slats are attached to one another by a hidden aluminium strip – this aluminium strip is placed at the back of the shutters and towards one side – it is painted to match the shutters so remains hidden – The shutter slats or shutter louvers can then be opened and closed by the simple tilting of one slat.
As all slats or louvers are attached to each other by means of the open sky aluminium strip, the slats will move opened and closed in unison.
The customer decided to brighten up the area a little they would have white wooden shutters – the light reflects and refracts really well with white wooden shutters. And when the shutter slats are open can actually brighten up the area a lot more than heavy drapes or curtains would do when they are pulled back.
