No two windows are the same, minor differences can occur in any window. Our customer in Battersea wanted traditional shutters fitted at their windows. Shutterly Fabulous shutters can be made to look pretty much however you like. Our Battersea customer wanted traditional shutters, and traditional shutters our Battersea customer got! They wanted a dark wood finish, and wanted their finished shutters to look almost “Tuscan” in their design. With the dark wood, they wanted to have a good amount of light filtering in to the rooms so they opted to have no push-rods to operate their slats. Most traditional shutters have a push rod to operate the opening and the closing of the slats. But our Battersea customer chose, with advice from the design consultant, our open sky option. This is where there is a hidden strip of Aluminium which joins your louvers together so they can move in unison with the tilt of one slat.

The window featured is one where the customer has additional skirting around the recess of their kitchen window in their Battersea home. Their traditional style shutters have then had cut outs made on the shutter frame to allow for the additional skirting on this window recess, whilst keeping the shutter frame tight into the window recess. All of these additional details which make your own windows unique, the design consultant will take into consideration and ensure that your shutters work with your home and look absolutely perfect!
