Shutters for large windows!

Some of our customers have larger sized window or door openings, due to this they wish to incorporate wooden shutters into their home to add a little extra privacy, or to control the amount of light filtering into their room. Larger Sized windows are slightly trickier to manufacture shutters for. The reason for the awkward manufacture and installation being that frames consist of solid lengths of wood, slatted shutter panels will hinge onto these frames. Due to shipping, manufacturing ecological reasons, long lengths of solid wood cannot be manufactured, so longer windows cannot usually be fit with regular shutters.

Shutters can however, for an additional cost be incorporated into a system with a track, for the shutters to hang from and run along on. This shutter track ensures stability and means that the track system takes all the weight of the shutters. The shutter sections themselves run smoothly along the track to stack at the ends of the shutter track.

As there is no real size limit to the length of the opening needed to be covered with shutters, when track systems are installed, Shutterly Fabulous can manufacture and install shutters no matter the size of your windows or French doors.

Shutter Tracks are perfect for French Doors, as the smooth running system means that your shutters will run smoothly along the track either all to one end, or possibly a central opening, giving you easy access to the doors and to the outside of your property.

The track can be fitted either at the top of your shutters, or at both the top and the bottom. The advantage of a top and bottom shutter track is that there is increased stability for all the panels, the bottom shutter track would most often be raised, if you wanted it to be flush you would have to arrange for your builder to create a small cut out for the track to fit into.
