Interior Shutters

Interior shutters in the UK with concealed rods

Rodless shutters refers to interior shutters which have a hidden shutters slats tilt rod. The photo here shows interior shutters from Shutterly Fabulous which have a rodless shutter system.

Interior shutters in the UK are sold with 2 systems available to control the adjustment of the slats. There is either a rod running vertically on the front of the shutter panels or a concealed rod at the back of the shutter, offset to the side. With the traditional vertical push rod on the front of interior shutters panels, this rod is most typically installed running down the centre of the shutter slats. However if customers prefer to have a front facing push rod that is offset to the side, we can manufacture your shutters accordingly.

Shutterly Fabulous make all interior shutters specifically to the demands of our customers and the shutters push rod operating system is no exception. We were the first UK shutters company to introduce a concealed rod system which we call Open Sky. Other companies selling a SCraft or Custom West imported shutter product introduced a similar rodless shutters system called Clearview after Shutterly Fabulous.

The photo of this study in Surrey, shows shutters that have nice wide panels. The shutters were not opened often and the customer wanted to ensure maximum light coming through the shutter slats. There is therefore no central push rod on the front of the these shutters, instead the Open Sky hidden push rod system helps create shutters with a nice, clean line.
