Interior Shutters in Amersham Cottage

The country look is Shutterly Fantastic!

Shutterly Fabulous are based in East Sussex, in Hove, but install interior shutters throughout the South East. This home in Amersham, Buckinghamshire is a fantastic example of how cottage shutters can keep that traditional country feel but add modern clean lines, maintaining a fresh country style appearance.

The cottage shutters are full height with regular push rods which are used to link the shutters slats together to open and close in unison and mid rails. The mid rails on these Shutterly Fabulous Cottage Shutters allow the bottom slats to be closed and the top ones to be left open to make the most of the light and still have privacy in the room when necessary. They are ivory with 89mm slats and matching hinges

Shutterly Fabulous Shutters be made with the hidden push rod design. The hidden push rod on the rear of the wooden shutters is attached individually to each of the shutters slats by a screw as opposed to a nail. The system is a more labour intensive and expensive way to manufacture wooden shutters, but is a much more secure way of attaching the wooden shutters slats to the hidden push rod. Shutterly Fabulous Shutters made with the hidden push rod design are called Open Sky Shutters. In addition, Shutterly Fabulous offers this design option to customers buying wooden shutters as a no extra charge option

Shutterly Fabulous shutters give you the option of having the more traditional push rod as seen on the three panels here, giving a slightly more traditional feel to these cottage shutters, definitely in keeping with the style of this Amersham cottage.
