French Doors can be a tricky opening to dress effectively, especially in a kitchen area. This photo shows folding door shutters installed on a French Door in a London kitchen, installed by Shutterly Fabulous.

The French door shutters shown are hinged to fold 3 panels to the left and 3 panels to the right. The French door shutters are mounted inside the recess, tight to the door itself. This means that when the folding shutters are opened back from the French door, they will open to a 90 degree angle. This installation design also has the benefit that if you open back just the middle 2 door panels then you can still access the French door itself. This means that you don’t always have to fold back these solid shutters to get in and out of the garden.

Kitchen French Doors are tricky to dress as they form, as this photo of this London kitchen shows, a large surface area of the wall space within the kitchen. Therefore putting any sort of fabric window treatment like curtains or roman blinds will take up quite a large area of the window and in addition, is not the most hygienic of materials to use in a kitchen.
