Wimbledon Solid Shutters in Ivory
West London Victorian style solid shutters
Not all plantation shutters have to be louvered. Solid Shutters, a window covering popular in Victorian England is making a huge statement in modern homes throughout the South and South East of England.
Shutterly Fabulous operate in the South East and have consultants who travel to appointments in and around the London area to measure up and offer a non obligatory quote for shutters.
These solid shutters were fitted in a home in Wimbledon, South West London. Solid shutters are manufactured in either Poplar wood, or Elm wood and can be painted or stained. We offer two types of solid shutters too, Shaker style, or Raised. The shaker style are a simple style of shutter, with very simple panelling. The shaker style shutters are neat and non fussy. The raised solid shutter panel has a slightly more decorative and finished feel to it.
The raised shutter panels are not too dissimilar to a door panel in a home.
The main difference between louvered plantation shutters and solid plantation shutters is that in order to get light in, you would need to pull the shutter panels right back to let the light in with solid shutter panels, and with the louvered plantation shutter panels, you can simply tilt the slats to adjust how the light enters the room.
With louvered plantation shutters, obviously the panels can be pulled right back so that they are wide open to let light flood the room also.
The solid shutters in Wimbledon are finished in an Ivory paint, they really do suit the style of the kitchen. Take a look at the standard paint and stain finishes we offer for your shutters.
