Bay Window Shutters Installed in Steyning Cottage
Sussex cottage gets new shutters!
This seaside cottage bay window has shutters fitted. Steyning is a village situated in the South Downs, West Sussex. Wooden shutters are certainly on the rise in this part of England. Shutterly Fabulous mainly operate around London, and shutters are mainly installed in central London and the surrounding suburbs, but due to Shutterly Fabulous HQ being located in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, we have a lot of our customers coming to us from surrounding towns and villages such as Steyning.
Our Steyning, shutters customer wanted to keep that cosy cottage feel to their home, so they opted for smaller panels within their Bay shutter set. Having more and smaller widths of shutter panels means that there are more vertical lines at the window. The shutter panel side bars or stiles are the additional vertical lines.
Each shutter panel within a shutter set is comprised of top rails, bottom rails, slats in between and holding these slats into place are the side bars, or stiles. If there are more panels, there will be more sidebars, which will sit next to each other, creating a vertical line of wood at the window where the shutter panels meet.
These, being solid pieces of wood mean that there will be a bit less light coming into the room when the shutter panels are closed but the louvers are open.
There are so many different shutter designs that you can choose for your Shutterly Fabulous Shutters, which is why we don’t have any specific ranges for you to choose from. We prefer for you to have the freedom to order whatever you want to make sure your shutters work for you and your home. Why not request a quote for shutters if you in Steyning, Sussex or anywhere in the south east!
To give a real “shaker” style or New England look to these shutters our customer in London has chosen larger slats, namely the 89mm slats which gives a clean lined look to the shutters and also adds a modern touch.
