Hastings Shutters
make a Shutterly fabulous cottage
This seaside cottage in Hastings has taken advantage of wooden shutters fitted at a window that make the room seem larger and less cluttered as well as giving the cottage window a more modern look with no heavy, dust collecting curtains.
The wooden shutters in this cottage are finished in white UV protective paint, with 89mm slats to allow optimum Hastings sunlight into the room.
Shutterly Fabulous, based in Hove, East Sussex, design, manufacture and install wood plantation shutters to specifically match each and every customers individual requirements. Here, our Hastings based customer has opted for push rods.
The push rod is the central bar on the front of your wooden shutters which links all the slats together. Push rods give a more traditional look to the plantation shutter and are what many customers feel embody the ‘look’ of a shutter. To adjust the slats when you have the push rod system, you hold onto the push rod (which is sometimes know as a tilt rod) and push this up or down the slats will then open and close in unison.
