We have different types of shutter styles though as a guide to work with, our customers can choose to have a Tier on Tier effect with their shutters. This can be seen in this customers photo in North London. Tier on Tier shutters function like a stable door. They have a separate top and bottom opening. Simply a split across the panel to allow the top half to open completely separately from the bottom half.

These Tier on Tier Shutters, or Stable Door Shutters are finished in bright white with a 64mm slat. With tier on tier, more light can be blocked out from entering the room though, as shutter panels are comprised from a top rail, a bottom rail, two side rails and louvers in between. With a tier on tier shutter the top rail on the bottom tier meets the bottom rail on the top tier. This does mean a larger amount of space across the shutter set and across the window with solid wood. Which can block out more light that you would intend to, its definitely worth talking about with the consultant when he measures up if Tier on Tier Shutters are a type of shutter you are looking for.
