Regular push rod
The classic choice, traditionally running down the centre of the shutter panel and linked to each slat by a stainless steel staple. Move the rod up or down and the louvres open or close with it. We can easily arrange to have your push rod offset to one side for uninterrupted views through your shutters.
Hidden tilt rod
This system lets you maintain the clean, unbroken lines of your shutters, thanks to a slim metal control rod hidden behind the panel to the side of the slats. To open or close, just tilt one louvre and the rest will follow. We were the first UK shutter company to offer a hidden tilt rod (we call it our Open Sky tilt rod) and it's an option on all our wooden shutters at no extra cost.
Whichever system you go for, there’s no need to worry about damaged slats. Each louvre is attached by spring-loaded plastic pins, making them incredibly easy to replace if you have any mishaps in your three-year guarantee period.
