Plantation Shutters let light in
while keeping passers by out
as seem in The English Home magazine
Plantation Shutters, The New England Shutter Company and Shutterly Fabulous were all mentioned as shutters suppliers in response to a readers question in The English Home in June 2008.
The reader needed a window covering that would ensure privacy due to the proximity of the house to the road, but still allow light into the room. Shutters offer a great solution to this problem as the shutters can be designed to be café style shutters (where the shutters cover just the lower section of the widow) or tier on tier shutters (where the shutters on the top section can be opened back, while leaving the bottom shutters in situ). By having shutters panels in position on the lower half of the window and just slightly tilting the slats means that there is also still light filtering through the slats but the angle of the slats still allows light into the room.
Shutterly Fabulous, The New England Shutter Company and Plantation Shutters all sell shutters but Shutterly Fabulous is the only full service shutters company selling their unique range of poplar and elm wood plantation shutters.
