Sunday Times Feature Shutterly Wooden Shutters

Respected Interiors Journalist Katrina Burroughs featured Shutterly Fabulous wooden shutters in an article in the Home section of The Sunday Times in February 2009.

Referring to wooden shutters as a “fresh, airy alternative to drapes”, Katrina writes how shutters – be they solid shutters or slatted shutters – are continuing to see a rise in popularity among style conscious home interest shoppers.

“White wooden shutters are our most popular selling product, but we are seeing an increase in the number of our customers ordering wood stained shutters. We feel this reflects the change in interior design trends which has seen an increase in the number of homes we visit using carpeting as opposed to wood flooring. Rooms with carpet are often softer as a result of having a carpeted floor, therefore the room can take having a wood stained wooden shutter on the windows. We often advise customers buying our wooden shutters that if they have a wood stained floor, they may be better with white wooden shutters. It’s just a little softer than having both a wood stain floor and wood stain shutters.”
