No. We send a fully trained shutter specialist to your home to assess, measure, and discuss your shutter requirements. This visit is free of charge and without obligation.
Yes. By giving us a rough measurement of your windows, we can give you a ballpark estimate of how much your shutters will cost.
Yes please. Our shutter specialists are not there only to measure up. During your design consultation, they’ll need to show you the various materials, slat sizes, colour options, and hinge types. Your windows may also have some unique requirements which need to be discussed face to face. If you cannot make your initial appointment, please request another date that you can attend.
We ask that any existing window coverings are removed prior to us attending to carry out your install. If you are intending on keeping your existing window coverings in place once the shutters are installed, please mention this during your survey so our specialist can take this into consideration.
If your windows are undergoing any changes, we cannot take an accurate measurement. As such, it’s best to wait until your windows are completed and then invite us round for a design survey. If you would like a rough price, have a look at our online estimator.
We will always endeavour for the same shutter specialist to carry out both the survey and installation of your shutters. Occasionally, it may be necessary for an alternative specialist to carry out your installation, but rest assured that it will always be installed to our fabulous standards.
We require 50% of the payment upfront at the time of placing an order. The remaining 50% is due prior to installation when we book your fitting appointment, and we’ll need this payment two days before your installation.
We offer a range of fast, easy, and secure payment options, and while we do not currently offer finance options, we’re delighted to let you know that we now accept American Express payments, giving you added flexibility for both your deposit and balance payments.
If you’ve received a cheaper like-for-like quote from another measure and install company, we’ll happily beat this for you. Simply complete our Price Beat Request Form and be sure to attach the competitor’s quote.
Lead times depend on a few factors, like your chosen shutter range and style. Our UK-made Faux Wood shutters can be installed in as little as 2 weeks, while our Hardwood range takes a little longer. For the latest on lead times, please visit our delivery information page.
All our shutters are guaranteed for 10 years from the point of installation. Conditions apply. Please see our T&Cs for further details.
We will email you once your shutters have finished production and been shipped, and again when they are nearing the end of their shipping journey. Once we have access to the shipment containing your order, our friendly team will call you to arrange your installation. If you have further questions, you’re always welcome to get in touch with the team via telephone or email.
Once you have paid your deposit, you will have a 24-hour cooling off period. During this time, you are free to make minor changes to your order (colour, hinge type, etc.). Thereafter, we will go into production and no further changes can be made.
Yes. During your survey appointment, your shutter specialist will show you our various colour options. If you cannot decide on the day, we will be happy to send you a couple of samples.
We colour match to the Farrow & Ball Core Collection, Little Greene’s ‘Colours of England’, ‘Green’, and ‘Grey’ collection, Dulux Trade ‘colour palette’ range, and RAL Classic. Our colour matching service incurs a £125 surcharge per colour and is available on our painted Hardwood shutters only.
We most certainly can. Our expert specialists can fit shutters for all shapes and sizes, and they’re very experienced with tracked shutters too. There is a £300 surcharge per special shape.
Our Faux Wood shutters are made at our UK factory. We manufacture our hardwood and polyvinyl shutters in China. We have our own dedicated facility where our uniquely designed shutters are manufactured. Containers leave weekly from our facility to our UK distribution centre.
Our solid hardwood shutters are made from the highest quality and most sustainably sourced paulownia. For an alternative, we also offer a waterproof polyvinyl (PVC) and faux wood shutters, which are made from high-quality uPVC.
