Introducing the very first collaboration between Shutterly Fabulous and The Pickleson Paint Co. The phrase “match made in heaven” gets thrown around a lot, but in this case, it couldn’t be more true.
Why The Pickleson Paint Co?
We’ve always loved creating shutters that are timeless, classic, and effortlessly fabulous. And we’ve long admired Pickleson’s fearless approach to colour. Bold without being intimidating, playful yet sophisticated. So when the idea of collaborating came up, it felt inevitable. This partnership is not just about interiors, it’s about creating personal, practical and expressive rooms.
The First Look
Our very first experimental space really brought the vision to life. It was all about balance: Period British character meeting Pickleson’s signature Mediterranean-modern flair. A classic Victorian living room flowing into a light-filled, modern kitchen extension, creating a space that’s aspirational yet achievable.
Pickleson’s East End Clay grounds the scheme, lifted by terracotta flooring, pops of colour courtesy of bold wall art and zellige accents, and kitchen cabinetry adorned in Sexy Marsala. Period details like cornices and cast-iron radiators give the living room charm, while the kitchen sharpens the space with clean lines and modern brass. Colour runs as a thread throughout, tying everything together.
The Role of Shutters
Rather than fading into the background, our shutters in Sexy Marsala take centre stage. They echo the cabinetry, anchor the space, and become a design statement in their own right. Connecting traditional architecture with modern materials – functional with fabulous -this design proves that shutters can really help define a home just as much as paint of furniture – exactly what we hoped to achieve with this partnership.
